For the first time since 2011, there is a new, full-length Soulive album on the way. The power organ trio of Neal Evans (keys), Alan Evans (drums), and Eric Krasno (guitar) is back with the announcement of Flowers, the band’s first full-length release since 2011’s live Bowlive album capturing its residency at Brooklyn Bowl featuring special guests Warren Haynes, Questlove, Nigel Hall, Kofi and Oteil Burbridge, and many more. Out January 30th, 2026, via Floki Studios, Flowers arrives alongside the lead single, “Baby Jupiter”.
From the first hi-hat and organ pulse of “Baby Jupiter”, you immediately know it’s Soulive. At over 25 years old, the Soulive sound has aged gracefully, while the musicians’ playing remains as tight as when the band originated during a 1999 jam session at the Evans’ home studio, recordings which ultimately became Soulive’s debut album later that year, Get Down! Produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Alan Evans, Flowers was recorded earlier this year in the seclusion of Floki Studios along Iceland’s Trol Peninsula. The setting has birthed varied releases by Oteil Burbridge, Joe Russo’s Selcouth Quartet, Greensky Bluegrass, and more.
“I’m really excited to finally share ‘Baby Jupiter’, the first single from our upcoming Soulive album recorded in Iceland this past June,” Alan Evans said. “The song actually started years ago but, like many Soulive tunes, it needed time to find its way to the right album. As I was mixing the song, I was transported back to our first residency at Baby Jupiter in early 2000s New York—that same energy, joy, and sense of community. The connection was undeniable—Baby Jupiter was the only name that made sense.”
Soulive will celebrate the album’s release with a rare live performance, set for January 30th as part of Alpenphunk in Crested Butte, CO. The boutique festival will showcase Eric Krasno’s myriad projects, with sets by Soulive, Krasno Moore Project, and Eric Krasno & Friends. Soulive is on track to play just four shows this year, following a two-night stand at Pennsylvania’s Ardmore Music Hall over the winter, the group’s first trip to New Orleans during Jazz Fest in eight years, and a set at Northlands Music & Arts Festival in Swanzey, NH, in June.
