Grammy Award-winning reggae musician Stephen “Ragga” Marley has announced an intimate U.S. acoustic tour in support of his latest 5-track EP, One Take: Acoustic Jams, via the Marley family’s Ghetto Youths International. Mystic Marley (Stephen’s daughter) is slated to open for her dad throughout the latter half of the tour.
Stephen Marley will open up the tour with a performance at Pensacola, FL’s Vinyl Music Hall on February 25th, before making stops at Baton Rouge, LA’s Varsity Theater (2/26); New Orleans, LA’s House of Blues (2/27); Houston, TX’s House of Blues (2/28); Austin, TX’s Scoot Inn (3/2); Dallas, TX’s Gas Money Live (3/3); Durango, CO’s Fort Lewis College (3/5); Telluride, CO’s Sheridan Opera House (3/6); Boulder, CO’s Fox Theatre (3/8); Fort Collins, CO’s Washington’s (3/9); Beaver Creek, CO’s Vilar Performing Arts Center (3/10); Aspen, CO’s Belly Up (3/11); and Las Vegas, NV’s Brooklyn Bowl on March 13th.
Marley will then head with a performance at Solana Beach, CA’s Belly Up on March 14th, followed by stops at Garden Grove, CA’s Garden Amp (3/15); Santa Cruz, CA’s Catalyst (3/16); Berkeley, CA’s UC Theatre (3/17); Crystal Bay, NV’s Crystal Bay Club Casino (3/19); Airway Heights, WA’s Northern Quest Resort & Casino (3/21); Bend, OR’s Midtown Ballroom (3/22); Ashland, OR’s Historic Ashland Armory (3/23); Petaluma, CA’s Mystic Theatre (3/24); and a tour-closing show at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, CA on March 26th.
As a part of this tour, a dollar from each ticket purchased will be donated to the Ghetto Youths Foundation, the non-profit organization founded by Stephen, Damian, and Julian Marley to provide aid, assistance, resources and opportunity to communities in need.
