Steve Earle & The Dukes have announced the lineup for A Celebration of Justin Townes Earle, set to take place on January 4th, 2022 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. In addition to the late singer-songwriter’s father Steve, the lineup includes Jason IsbellAmanda ShiresEmmylou Harris, and more.

The tribute concert for Justin Townes—who died of an accidental drug overdose on August 20th, 2020 at 39—will mark what would have been his 40th birthday. Also on tap for the concert are Ben Nichols (Lucero), Buddy MillerDustin WelchElizabeth Cook, Jessica Lea Mayfield, Joe Pug, Jon Langford, Lilly Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Mike Ness and Jonny Two Bags (Social Distortion), Old Crow Medicine Show, Scotty Melton, Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart, and Willy and Cody Braun, who will all perform Justin’s music.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Justin’s four-year-old daughter, Etta St. James Earle‘s trust. The concert also comes exactly one year after the release of Steve Earle’s album, J.T. The 11-track recording heard the outlaw country torchbearer eulogize his son by interpreting Justin’s catalog of material, totaling eight solo albums released over 11 years. His last release, The Saint of Lost Causes, arrived in 2019.
