On Tuesday night, Stevie Wonder made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He performed a medley of two love-struck originals to celebrate Michelle Obama‘s undeniable grace as our country’s First Lady. With help from The Roots, the Presidential Metal of Freedom recipient took to his piano to demonstrate his admiration for The First Lady in “Isn’t She Lovely” and “My Cherie Amour”, which he unabashedly transformed into “My Michelle Amour”, changing the lyrics to sing “You’ll always be First Lady in our lives.”
The room sang along in honor, with television personalities Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, and Jimmy Fallon alongside Michelle Obama during the touching tribute. At the end of his performance, Stevie explained one more time, “We love you, we love you! And your husband too, of course.”
