After a six-year hiatus, Burlington jam band Strangefolk will revive its original lineup and its famed Garden of Eden Festival this coming Friday and Saturday, August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont. In addition to the first official Strangefolk shows since the last Garden of Eden Festival back in 2019, he two-day 2025 edition will feature opening sets by Seth Yacavone Band and Pink Talking Fish [get tickets].

First held in—and named for—Eden Mills, Vermont in 1996, Garden of Eden Festival quickly became a centerpiece of the Strangefolk community, blending the band’s unique mix of jam, folk, rock, and progressive sounds with a family-style gathering. The festival, which came of age as the jam band scene expanded via tape-trading and enthusiastic word of mouth, consistently drew in legions of fans from the Northeast. In later years, the festival found a new home at Jay Peak’s Stateside Amphitheater, where it ran from 2016 through 2019 before the pandemic put both Garden of Eden Festival and Strangefolk as a whole on pause. The return of Garden of Eden is more than just a festival revival—it’s a homecoming for one of the region’s most beloved acts and a celebration of its community.
