The String Cheese Incident will pack the sleeping bags and bug spray for an inaugural camping event at The Pines Music Park in Eau Claire, WI. Set for August 15th and 16th, the festival-style event will bring Cheese, Del McCoury Band, and STS9 to the home of the Blue Ox Music Festival.

Each night will feature two sets of host The String Cheese Incident with Del McCoury Band opening things up on Friday and STS9 getting the party started on Saturday. Though quite distinct from one another, each opener aligns with an integral piece of Cheese’s split personality—the band’s bluegrass roots with Del McCoury and its high-energy jamtronic side with STS9—and may have an influence on the evening’s performance.

Tickets for the inaugural The String Cheese Incident campout at The Pines Music Park with STS9 and Del McCoury Band are on sale now. A two-day admission ticket grants access to music on Friday and Saturday, as well as on-site unreserved tent camping beginning on Thursday, August 14th. Car camping access is included with the standard ticket and fans will be allowed to bring their own food and beverage from their campsites into the concert area. The Pines also offers reserved electric and non-electric campsites, eight on-site tiny cabins for two guests, and reserved campsites with pre-set tents. Find tickets and full details on the venue’s website. The venue will cap tickets at 3,500 weekend passes.

This announcement adds to SCI’s steadily growing summer schedule, currently slated to kick off with the second-annual CaveJam at The Caverns in Pelham, TN over Memorial Day Weekend (5/24–5/25). The Colorado jamgrasstronic band will make additional festival stops at Northlands in Swanzey, NH (6/13–6/15), All Good Now in Columbia, SC (6/14–6/15), and its own Electric Forest in Rothbury, MI (6/19–6/22), in addition to headlining runs in New Braunfels, TX (7/11–7/12) and the band’s annual trip to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (7/18–7/19).
