STS9 returned to the Oxbow River Stage on Saturday for the second of two consecutive shows in Napa, CA. Saturday’s edition of the two-night run dubbed West of the Moon saw the livetronica pioneers put together a lengthy one-set performance.

Each night of this West of the Moon run saw a different opening act, with Emancipator joining Tribe on Friday and Tycho laying down a special DJ set on Saturday.

STS9 opened up the dance-heavy set with a rockin’ rendition of Nina Simone‘s “Feeling Good” before opening things up with “Kamuy”, from 2015’s We’ll Meet In Our Dreams Vol. I & II. Next came “Balancing”, which saw David Phipps (keys/synthesizers) trigger Armanni Reign vocal samples.

Alana Rocklin‘s bass then took center stage as she led them through “Lift You Up” beginning around the 30-minute mark. “Jebez”, “Get Loud”, “Presence of Light”, and “Click Lang Echo” followed before a synth-laden rendition of The Who‘s “Baba O’ Riley” took them to the final third of the show. “Menacer” and “Shock Doctrine” then led to a drum n’ bass-heavy “Falling”. Following the danceable jam came “Water Song”, “Sun, Moon & Stars (Pt. 1)”, “Open E”, and “Pianoir”, which took the band to the end of the show.
