STS9 has announced the impending release of Chromalight, a new live album recorded at Red Rocks Amphitheatre last summer at the unveiling of the band’s audio-visual experiment bridging sound and light.
“On July 21 & 22, 2023, STS9 revealed ‘Chromalight’ at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado,” the album announcement reads. “The multi-sensory production set out to explore the connection between sound and light, the colors associated with musical notes and scales, and how to tap into the power of the harmony between them to create an intentional and immersive live spectacle. This is the complete audio recording of the first-ever live performance of STS9’s ‘Chromalight’.”
Due out July 12th, Chromalight includes 14 new songs debuted last year Red Rocks, including previously released singles “Searchlight” and “Fires”. Listen to both tracks and click below to view the album tracklist. The album is available to pre-save here.
STS9 will return to Red Rocks with Dirtwire and Motifv later this month as part of a two-night Denver run with shows at Ogden Theatre on July 19th and Red Rocks on the 20th. The band has several headlining shows and multi-night runs and is booked to perform at Cascade Equinox, Jam Cruise 21, and more.
