Sturgill Simpson is back at it with the announcement of a new 2025 spring tour, aptly titled Who The F**ck Is Johnny Blue Skies? The 23-date cross-country outing follows Sturgill’s universally acclaimed 35-date comeback tour last year—the Why Not Tour?—and his equally lauded album Passage du Desire, for which he adopted the name Johnny Blue Skies.
The Who The F**ck Is Johnny Blue Skies? 2025 tour will kick off on April 5th in Durant, OK and run through May 24th when it wraps in Columbia, MD, followed by a pair of standalone summer festival dates at FairWell Festival in Oregon and Bourbon & Beyond in Kentucky. Along the way, Simpson and his ace backing band will visit Birmingham, AL (4/10), Denver (4/14–4/15), Berkeley, CA (4/24), Las Vegas (4/27), Minneapolis (5/6), Rosemont, IL (5/9), Knoxville, TN (5/16), two nights in Asheville, NC to make up for his shows that were canceled due to Hurricane Helene (5/20–5/21), Charleston, SC (5/23), and more.
Fans can register here for the pre-sale set to begin Wednesday, February 19th at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday, February 21st at 12 p.m. local time via Ticketmaster and Simpson’s website. See below for a detailed list of Sturgill Simpson tour dates. Those who purchase tickets through Ticketmaster and cannot attend the show will have the ability to resell their tickets for the original face value using the Face Value Exchange. Ticketmaster will utilize mobile-only tickets that are restricted from transfer (except in New York, Virginia, Illinois, and Colorado, per state laws).
Prior to the U.S. summer tour, Sturgill Blue Skies will head overseas later this month for sold-out shows across Europe and the U.K. Most recently, the elusive country singer-songwriter performed at Bob Weir‘s second-annual Dead Ahead in Mexico, sharing the stage with members of the Grateful Dead, Goose, Brandi Carlile, Brittney Spencer, Grace Bowers, and others. If the 2025 tour is anything like last year’s, audiences can expect three-hour, non-stop sets of high-velocity rock n’ roll-infused country. The Who The F**k Is Johnny Blue Skies? Tour‘s tagline “If you’re on time, you’re late” seems to support that assertion.
