It’s been an exhausting year, but the excitement of again welcoming an amazing list of artists to join us for our 20th anniversary celebration has our spirits soaring. We are thankful to share the artists that will be moving to our new 20th Anniversary celebration, taking place August 20-22, 2021 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. We welcome back long time hosts moe. and Umphrey’s McGee plus headliners, Ween, Billy Strings, Three Six Mafia, GRiZ, Rezz, STS9 and Tipper among others. Although we are disappointed that not all previous artists could make it, we are excited to get to share the joy that everyone’s favorite pre Summer Camp ritual brings – new artist announcements!! Stay tuned for additional announcements in the coming weeks.
Together, we’ll make this an unforgettable weekend, SCampers… We are currently working hard to elevate this already stellar lineup by adding new artists & activities. More details and refund information for those who cannot make the August dates can be found at SummerCampFestival.com/SC2021
[Originally published 2/26/21]: Organizers of Summer Camp Music Festival announced on Friday that the gathering has been rescheduled and will now take place August 20th–22nd, 2021, with the 19th serving as the official pre-party kickoff. The festival, which normally takes place over Memorial Day weekend, will still celebrate its 20th anniversary—which was postponed from 2020.
A statement from organizers issued on Friday noted that all tickets purchased for the previous dates will automatically roll over to the new ones. Additionally, the statement noted that “the vast majority of artists” were able to move with the festival and partake in the new dates. Organizers also noted that they will be releasing an updated lineup soon, as well as information regarding refunds for those who cannot make the new dates.
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead did share a statement following the announcement of the rescheduled dates confirming they will not be able to take part in the August 2021 event as initially planned.
The statement did not go into detail about what health measures will be in place. Given how far away August is, in addition to the rapidly evolving timeframes of concerts thanks to vaccination rollout across the country, it is likely that any predictions given now on the need to wear masks, social distance, etc. would likely change by August.

Summer Camp Family,
We miss you all. We haven’t been away from you and Three Sisters Park for this long since Summer Camp Music Festival began in 2000. One thing is certain, our 20th Anniversary is going to be the best celebration we could dream of after all this time apart. It is going to be truly special.
At this time, due to the ongoing circumstances surrounding the Covid 19 pandemic, we have decided to reschedule Summer Camp Music Festival 2021 to take place over the weekend of August 20-22, 2021, with the pre-party taking place Thursday, August 19th. We realize that Memorial Day Weekend isn’t going to be feasible at this point, and we’re excited to look towards the future and gather once again in late August to celebrate life, love, and music. We are again happy to say that the vast majority of our lineup is able to move with us and join us in August for our 20th anniversary celebration. We will be releasing an updated lineup soon so stay tuned for more information on that and also details on refunds for any current ticket holders who will not be able to join us for the new dates.
For all you SCampers who are holding tickets, we want to thank you. Your support means the world to us as we navigate these difficult times. All current tickets will be honored for the moved dates and you need to do nothing to change your tickets. And again, once we are able to finalize what artists are able to make the move with us, we will provide details on refunds for those patrons who are not able to make the new dates.
Keep your Summer Camp spirit alive, we’ll see you again…
