In an homage to beloved former Suwannee festivals Bear Creek and Wanee, the Amp Jam distills the experience back to its essentials: one stage, tons of great artists, and no over-the-top production. In addition to keeping ticket prices affordable (starting at $199 plus fees, including three nights of camping), it also keeps the focus on the music, the hallowed Amphitheater Stage, and the lineup of legendary artists, many of whom are Suwannee family at this point.

“The plan for Amp Jams is to facilitate a reconnection with the Suwannee musical family, congregate the faithful to the park, and distill the peerless SOSMP experience into its most potent form,” organizers wrote in a press release.

In his review of this year’s inaugural Suwannee Amp Jam #1, longtime SOSMP man-on-the-scene B. Getz wrote, “With this intimate endeavor, Suwannee Amp Jam sought to reconnect with the treasured community, traditions, legacy musicians, and heritage native to these historic hoedowns in the swamp. For years, fans had been loudly and persistently clamoring for precisely this kind of funky function to return to the Music Park. In the tailwind of an instant classic weekend in the woods, it’s safe to say: Mission Accomplished.”
