Organizers for Suwannee Hulaween have revealed the schedule for this year’s festival, set to return to The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL October 26th–29th.
The 10th-anniversary edition of Hulaween is set to kick off on Thursday, October 26th with top acts Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (two sets), John Summit, and Boogie T. Hula’s scenic Meadow stage will not be open on Thursday, with JRAD, Altın Gün, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, and Florida’s own Tand all performing at The Hallows. Late-night revelers will be able to keep the party going until 1:30 a.m. with sets by Kitchen Dwellers and Kendall Street Company at Spirit Lake and the Campground stages, respectively.
Hulaween 2023 will in full force on Friday, October 27th when headliners Trey Anastasio Band and The String Cheese Incident (two sets) take over The Meadow. Following TAB, Goose will headline The Hallows after performances by Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, Lettuce, Fernando Rosa, and more. The electronic-focused Spirit Lake programming will present sets by ISOxo, EPROM, Moore Kismet, and others ahead of a late-night set by lespecial, with up-and-comers like Steelin’ Peaches, The Orange Constant, and more playing at the Campground stage.
Saturday will be all-systems-go at Hulaween, with The Meadow kicking off bright and early at 3 p.m. with Jennifer Hartswick Band and not stopping until Pretty Lights ends at 2 a.m., with three sets of Cheese stuck in the middle of that sandwich. Elsewhere, The Hallows will present an array of acts including Funk You, The Dip, DOMi & JD Beck, and Smino while The Amphitheater hosts Marvel Years, a Manic Focus live band set, Big Wild, and more. Spirit Lake will also come alive with sets by Empire Strikes Brass, Couch, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, and a late-night 2 a.m. performance from Ghost-Note, while Melt will keep the party going from midnight until 1:30 a.m. in the Campgrounds.
Finally, Suwannee Hulaween 2023 will come to a close on Sunday, October 29th. With all music done by 11:15 p.m., organizers will give attendees an earlier start by opening gates to the venue at noon. The Meadow will ease audiences into Sunday with some bluegrass courtesy of Jon Stickley Trio and SCI before Pretty Lights closes down the stage with his second performance of the weekend, a position the recently reactivated producer filled after Rainbow Kitten Surprise went on indefinite hiatus earlier this year and vacated the slot.
Hulaween will wind down with a healthy dose of indie rock courtesy of Dispatch and Mt. Joy, both playing at The Hallows. Finishing the iconic Amphitheater Stage’s weekend roster will be Elderbrook, Gioli & Assia, QRTR, and more, while Spirit Lake will host a special collaborative set between The Nth Power and Jennifer Hartswick following sets by Apashe (live bass ensemble), Memba, and others. The Campground Stage will have the final word of the weekend, with The New Mastersounds‘ Eddie Roberts closing out the festival with his new project, The Lucky Strokes, after sets by Sneezy, Minim, Austin Van Der Bleek, and more.
