Suwannee Hulaween Reveals 2025 Spirit Lake Programming, Daily Schedules [Photos]

Suwannee Hulaween has revealed the roster of visual artists, stages, and sculptures that will take over Spirit Lake at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. The 12th annual Halloween festival is set for October 30th–November 2nd, with headliners The String Cheese Incident, Goose (two sets), Zeds Dead, DJ Pee .Wee (aka Anderson .Paak), Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Glass Beams, The Disco Biscuits (two sets), and many more [get tickets].

Justin Bolognino will return for his third year as Spirit Lake’s executive director, guiding the overall experience through this year’s theme: “The Radiant Veil – The Dance of Light and Shadow.” Bolognino brings to the table his years of experience working with artists like Phish, Skrillex, Questlove, and Porter Robinson, and serving as CEO of META, a company specializing in multi-sensory experiences merging technology, design, and storytelling—making him a natural fit for Spirit Lake.

Hulaween’s Spirit Lake has become one of the artistic jewels of the U.S. festival scene, and to honor that tradition, Bolognino and his team will bring back several longstanding Spirit Lake favorites. Paul Kuhn of Twelve Limbs Art Studio will bring back his iconic sculptures The Witch, The Ferryman, and Ogres + Rock Hands, which have become festival landmarks over the years, alongside Thomas Dambo‘s Spider and Pineapple Hands, with SLOPS adding The Spider’s Eggs to continue the artistic storyline that has progressed through the years.

Duende Builds will also bring back its immersive Birdhouse Village of tiny cottages, all hand-crafted from local natural materials. And it wouldn’t be Hulaween without the House of Lost, which will bring back its Midnight Mass and present a refreshed design and programming from founder Ian Tuma. Festivalgoers can also get lost in artwork (literally) in Ani Amador‘s beloved Mural Maze. Plus Cory Glenn‘s Incendia stage will return bigger and better than ever, as the geodesic steel temple comes alive with fire performances and flame effects.

Following a well-received debut in 2024, the 360-degree OFF LIMITS stage will return this year. Powered by Incendia fire effects, the immersive stage “merges Victorian fantasy with nature’s microcism,” presenting performances by Whethan, YDG, Jigitz, BLOND:ISH, Ahadadream, Alex Wann, and more.

In addition to many of those longstanding traditions, Suwannee Hulaween will introduce some new Spirit Lake additions in 2025. Justin Bolognino and RÜTS will add to the permanent collection a large-scale sculpture of a massive Fibonacci fern, named Fiddlehead, blending science fiction and eco-fantasy. Attendees will also be able to directly interact with Fox Light Labs‘ SYNTHesthesia Crystals, a crystal cluster of musical infinity mirrors, and PDA Woodwork‘s TeeterMAZE, a larger-than-life rocking pinball maze for four players at a time. Festivalgoers can also take in a show by Rabbit Foot Puppetry or the Dragon Box Theatre for shadow puppets. Amid all of the engrossing installations, the Wandering Lion Tea Sanctuary will act as a grounding tea house and sober space.

To tie together the overarching “The Radiant Veil – The Dance of Light and Shadow” theme, Spirit Lake will present four unique lakefront projections across the four days. The festival will begin with “From Light” on Thursday, “Into Shadow” on Friday, “The Radient Veil” on Saturday, and close with “The Dance of Light and Shadow.” Additionally, organizers teased the premiere of a new “top-secret installation,” The Oracle of Spirit Lake. Details are sparse, but promoters stated that it will turn the lake show into an interactive and participatory event each night.
