Today, The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park has officially announced their newest event, Suwannee Rising Music Festival. Following the cancellation of Wanee Music Festival, which typically took place in mid-April, loyal fans can now look forward to the new festival that will take place from April 4th through 6th, 2019 at the beloved Live Oak, FL location that plays host to Hulaween, Roots Revival, Brainquility, Purple Hatters Ball, and more.

Headlining the inaugural event will be Lettuce (two sets), moe., and Oteil & Friends, as well as Dumpstaphunk, The New Mastersounds (two sets), Ghost-Note (two sets), Melody Trucks Band, and more bands to be announced in the coming weeks.

While the legacy of the Allman Brothers Band‘s festival will continue with Live Nation in Fort Lauderdale, this new event will seemingly take the familiar shape of former Suwannee event, Bear Creek–a short-lived but legendary funk festival that took place for several years in the fall. With the spirit of Wanee still lingering, fans can rest assured that the funk and jams will continue with Suwannee Rising, and hopefully for years to come.

Camping passes for Suwannee Rising are now available. Tickets to the Suwannee Rising Music Festival will go on sale Friday, February 15th on Etix.com.
