Swedish musician Sven Wunder continues to explore the mystic realms of modern-day psychedelia on his mesmerizing and lush-sounding new single, “Impasto”. Released on Friday via Piano Piano Records, the instrumental track arrived exclusively to streaming platforms, but will also be released as the A-side on a 7″ single on May 14th along with the soon-t0-be-shared “Prussian Blue”.

The 3:12 minute instrumental paints a soothing soundscape led by various bongos, strings, horns, piano, and other diverse instrumentation. The track graciously welcomes listeners in for a one-of-a-kind experience and further deepens the catalog of this mysterious Swedish artist who has built a following over the past few years thanks to his growing resume of world music-inspired psychedelia.

“Impasto” will also appear on Sven Wunder’s forthcoming full-length studio album, Natura Morta, due out later this year. Natura Morta will follow Sven Wunder’s last studio albums, 2020’s Eastern Flowers and Wabi Sabi. The former was deservingly included on Live For Live Music‘s list of Best Psychedelia Albums Of 2020.
