[UPDATE 1/21/22]: SweetWater 420 Fest has revealed its daily lineups for the 2022 festival. Set to take place at Atlanta, GA’s Centennial Olympic Park April 29th–May 1st, the festival will feature headliners The String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio Band, and Oysterhead.
The Sweetwater 420 festivities will kick off on Thursday with a pre-party featuring two sets from String Cheese and Gov’t Mule, as well as Oteil & Friends and Empire Strikes Brass. Gov’t Mule is a new addition to the lineup, taking moe.‘s place at the pre-party as guitarist Chuck Garvey continues to recover from a stroke he suffered back in November.
Things truly get underway on Friday with another two sets of SCI alongside Snoop Dogg, Dirty Heads, Lotus, Lawrence, Too Many Zooz, Badfish, Brandon “Taz” Niederauer, Karina Rykman, Little Stranger, Butcher Brown, Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, The Stews, Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast, and Taylor Scott Band.
Saturday will see two sets from Trey Anastasio Band and Umphrey’s McGee in addition to performances from Goose, JJ Grey & Mofro, Spafford, Queen Is Doomed, Town Mountain, Tropidelic, Kitchen Dwellers, Neighbor, DENM, KrisB’s Midnight Railroad, Bird Dog Jubilee, and Pressing Strings.
Finally, Sweetwater 420 Fest closes out on Sunday with Oysterhead, two sets of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Thievery Corporation, Snarky Puppy, Big Something, The Movement, Doom Flamingo, Boombox featuring Backbeat Bass, The Nth Power featuring Jennifer Hartswick, Kanika Moore & The Psycodelics, Hedonistas, Sexbruise?, Certainly So, and The 4 Korners.

[10/5/21]: SweetWater 420 Fest has announced the lineup for its 2022 return to Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park, featuring headliners Oysterhead, Trey Anastasio Band (x2), and The String Cheese Incident (x2). The three-day festival in downtown Atlanta will take place April 29th–May 1st, 2022.
The eclectic lineup for Sweet4ater 420 Fest 2021 also includes Umphrey’s McGee (x2), Snoop Dogg, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead (x2), Goose, Dirty Heads, Snarky Puppy, JJ Grey & Mofro, Lotus, Turkuaz with Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew: Remain In Light, Spafford, Lawrence, Big Something, Too Many Zooz, The Movement, Doom Flamingo: Queen Is Doomed (x2), Badfish, Boombox featuring Backbeat Brass, and more.

For the first time in its nearly 20-year history, SweetWater 420 Fest has also announced a Thursday pre-party in the park. Thursday, April 28th will feature two sets from headliners The String Cheese Incident (x2) as well as moe., Oteil & Friends, and Empire Strikes Brass.
“We are more than excited to celebrate not only the return of live music but the return of SweetWater 420 Fest and our festival community to Centennial Olympic Park in 2022!” the president of Happy Ending Productions, Jennifer Bensch, said in a statement. “Furthermore, to add to the excitement, and for the first time in our festival history, we are announcing our full festival lineup in October with tickets on sale on the 8th! Plus! We added an extra day of music on Thursday with a kick-off pre-party in the park!”
