Atlanta’s beloved SweetWater 420 Fest will find a new home at the city’s multi-purpose Pullman Yards on April 20th and 21st, 2024. The festival, presented by SweetWater Brewing Company, promises a reinvigorated festival experience and “a grand comeback in full festival glory.”
Organizers did not include an artist lineup, but Thursday’s venue announcement was welcome enough news for fans of the long-running event. Through 2022 SweetWater 420 Fest was held in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park but moved to SweetWater’s brewery for its pared-back 2023 edition. Though no official reason was given, the move happened shortly after the state’s expansive Constitutional Carry law went into effect, effectively making enforcement of a firearm ban in publicly-owned Olympic Park legally impossible.
While 2023 saw an abridged version of the historically expansive festival, organizers have promised a glorious return in 2024. A press release circulated by festival organizers promises over 25 acts performing across three indoor and outdoor stages at the sprawling Pullman Yards campus, which hosted Futurebirds‘ inaugural two-day Highball festival last fall. In addition to over two dozen bands, the grounds will feature local vendors, food trucks, workshops, an artist market, the Planet 420 non-profit village, and more.
“420 Fest is back, and we’re gearing up to throw one of the biggest parties yet,” Tilray Brands’ president of U.S. beers Ty Gilmore said. “In true SweetWater 420 Fest spirit, we’re bringing the hottest acts in music to the heart of the South’s craft beer revolution. We’re excited to start a new chapter for 420 Fest in partnership with Pullman Yards, which is the perfect venue for this beloved event.”
Early bird tickets for the 2024 SweetWater 420 Fest are on sale now.
