After turning heads this summer with their electrifying instrumental performances at Bonnaroo, Hangout Music Festival and Summer Camp Music Festival, TAUK has just announced the latest additions to their August and September lineup. The rock-fusion four-piece will play at the East Coast’s finest venues and festivals; in New York (The Paramount, Brooklyn Bowl, Jones Beach Bandshell), Pennsylvania (Allman’s Peach Festival, The Blockley in Philadelphia) and Connecticut (Café Nine). Highlights of TAUK’s newly announced performances include August 2nd at The Paramount Theatre – Long Island’s premiere music venue, August 3rd at Jones Beach Bandshell and August 4th at Philadelphia’s The Blockley – both shows celebrating Jerry Garcia’s birthday with TAUK opening for top Grateful Dead Tribute Bands. The band will also play back-to-back sets at Brooklyn Bowl opening for Perpetual Groove on September 21st and 22nd. As previously announced TAUK will perform on Saturday, August 11th at the first annual Peach Music Festival, presented and headlined by The Allman Brothers Band in Scranton, PA. At Peach Fest, TAUK will reunite with many acts they have shared the stage with in the past, such as O.A.R., Robert Randolph & The Family Band and Toubab Krewe.
TAUK is breaking into the national music scene with the release of their new EP, “Pull Factors.” The band’s sound is a unique blend of funk, jazz, pop, and rock with a fresh, experimental spirit that has already attracted an early DIY buzz. Legendary sound engineer, Dave Natale (Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac), invited TAUK into his studio in late 2011 to record “Pull Factors.” The band then teamed up with Grammy-winning producer Robert Carranza (Jack Johnson, Mars Volta) to harness the band’s eclectic vision creating entirely instrumental new tracks.
