Twelve-piece soul phenoms Tedeschi Trucks Band returned to Florida yesterday, hosting their annual Sunshine Music Festival in style. For the first night of the festival, TTB set up shop for a headlining performance in St. Petersburg, FL, bringing their powerhouse display to the historic town for a great night of music.
Though their set didn’t include any guest appearances, that didn’t stop them from putting on a great performance. They worked in a number of covers throughout the night, including “Keep On Growing,” “Bird On The Wire,” “Color Of The Blues,” and more. They also played a cover of “Get Out Of My Life Woman,” undoubtedly a subtle tribute to the legendary Allen Toussaint on what would have been his 79th birthday.
The set closed out with a rocking version of “Soul Sacrifice,” which you can watch in the video below, and was followed by a great encore that included the band’s hit song “Bound For Glory.”
