After leading an all-star tribute to Joe Cocker at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Tedeschi Trucks Band has made the feature-length documentary and concert film Learning To Live Together: The Return of Mad Dogs & Englishmen available for free on YouTube for a limited time.
Directed by Jesse Lauter, the film documents TTB’s historic 2015 reunion of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs backing band, immortalized on the 1970 live album Mad Dogs & Englishmen. The reunion brought together Tedeschi Trucks Band with original Mad Dogs members, including Rock & Roll Hall of Fame keyboardist Leon Russell, plus special guests like Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes), Dave Mason, and more for a one-off performance at the 2015 LOCKN’ Festival. The tribute set recently got a live release of its own as Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited (Live At LOCKN’).
The documentary’s YouTube release coincides with TTB’s post-Rock Hall momentum. The band closed the induction ceremony at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater with a moving tribute to Cocker, performing “The Letter” with Nathaniel Rateliff, “Feelin’ Alright” with Teddy Swims, and a climactic all-star finale of “With a Little Help From My Friends” alongside Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, and Chris Robinson, and more.
In addition, TTB recently announced a 2026 Beacon Theatre residency in New York City, spanning six nights on March 10th–11th, 13th–14th, 20th–21st. Pre-sale tickets for the Swamp Family Fan Club are available now, with the general on-sale to follow this Friday, November 14th via Ticketmaster.
