Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off a three-night run at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN on Thursday. The band returned last night and played the entirety of I Am the Moon: I. Crescent, the first part of its recent four-part audio-visual epic.
After getting their legs in Music City with a straightforward show featuring covers of Willie Nelson, Santana, the ever-present Derek and the Dominos, and more on Thursday, the members of TTB switched things up on Friday, offering a full recreation of the opening statement from their four-album I Am The Moon series in the first set. At the start of the second set, the band welcomed Liam Dixon, son of keyboardist Gabe Dixon, to sit in on drums during “So Long Savior” while drummer Isaac Eady played guitar. The band capped the show with an encore featuring two recently debuted covers, The Allman Brothers Band‘s “Stand Back” and Freddie Hubbard‘s “Mr. Clean”.
