The Beatles‘ iconic rooftop performance on January 30th, 1969 will arrive on global streaming platforms per an announcement on the band’s website on Thursday. Titled Get Back (Rooftop Performance), the album will see a release on Friday, January 28th, via Apple Corps Ltd/Capitol/UMe.

The Beatles’ performance from the roof of their Apple Corps Saville Road headquarters in London, England marked the group’s final concert and served as the subject of Peter Jackson‘s recent three-part docuseries, The Beatles: Get Back. Clocking in at just 42 minutes, members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—alongside keyboardist Billy Preston—delivered several takes from its final studio album, Let It Be, as well as tracks like “Don’t Let Me Down” and “God Save The Queen”.

This forthcoming album will feature three separate takes of “Get Back”, including the famous third take where McCartney adlibbed lines about the officers on the rooftop who came to shut down the show. Get Back (The Rooftop Performance) will arrive mixed in stereo and Dolby Atmos for the very first time, courtesy of Giles Martin and Sam Okel.

While the entire concert saw a release in video form as the final part of the docuseries, it was also recently announced that the show will hit IMAX cinemas this Sunday, January 30th, in honor of the show’s 53rd anniversary. A global theatrical release will then take place from February 11th–13th, with a Blu-ray and DVD release on February 8th in the U.S.

In other Beatles news, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced on Thursday that a new exhibit titled “The Beatles: Get Back to Let It Be”. Set to open on March 18th and run through March 2023, the exhibit will serve as a complement to Jackson’s Get Back docuseries and include rarified artifacts like original instruments, clothing, handwritten lyrics, and more. The exhibit will also immerse fans in the rehearsal sessions and the final rooftop performance with large-scale projections alongside special events such as interviews, film screenings, and panels.
