After two years away, The Brian Jonestown Massacre will return to North America for a 2025 fall tour. The 40-date sojourn will mark Anton Newcombe and company’s first domestic tour since an on-stage brawl in Australia put the band on ice in late 2023.
Following a previously announced European summer tour, concluding with a set at England’s Glastonbury, The Brian Jonestown Massacre will kick off their North American tour on September 3rd in Carrboro, NC at famed underground club the Cats Cradle. The tour will be split into two legs, with the September dates focusing on the East Coast and Midwest with shows in Atlanta (9/5), Nashville (9/6), Washington, D.C. (9/8), New York City (9/9), Philadelphia (9/10), Cleveland (9/16), Detroit (9/17), Chicago (9/22), Omaha, NE (9/23), Kansas City, MO (9/24), and more.
The first leg of the tour will wrap with a pair of Texas shows in Dallas (9/26) and Houston (9/28), which leave a conspicuous gap on the 27th right in the middle of LEVITATION in nearby Austin (9/25–9/28). The BJM previously played the Austin psych-rock fest in 2023 where the band linked up with its faux rivals The Dandy Warhols and hosts The Black Angels for a communal cover of The Velvet Underground‘s “Sister Ray”.

The second leg of the Brian Jonestown Massacre 2025 North American tour will focus on the Western United States, beginning on Halloween night at San Diego’s Music Box. The month of November will see the band play almost nightly with stops in Las Vegas (11/6), Santa Fe, NM (11/8), Boulder, CO (11/11), Salt Lake City (11/13), Seattle (11/15), two nights in Vancouver (11/16–11/17), a hometown show in San Francisco (11/20), and more before the tour wraps with a three-night stint at the Teragram Ballroom in L.A. (11/22–11/24).
Tickets for all newly announced Brian Jonestown Massacre 2025 tour dates will go on sale Friday, March 14th at 10 a.m. local time via the band’s website. See below for a detailed list of tour dates.
In related news, the 20th anniversary extended edition of the cult classic BJM documentary DIG!—entitled DIG! XX—is currently available on streaming services. The new cut of Ondi Timoner‘s iconic 2004 chronicle of the seven-year space race to commercial and artistic success by the BJM and the Dandy Warhols includes new footage documenting the 20 years since the film, as well as new narration by the doc’s breakout star, audacious tambourine player Joel Gion. Stream DIG! XX on the platform of your choice here. The film is also screening in very select theaters nationwide.
