The Disco Biscuits kicked off an eight-show East Coast run at The Windjammer in Isle of Palms Wednesday night with the help of local resident Kanika Moore of Doom Flamingo, who dropped in to lend her powerful vocals on a rare cover of Pink Floyd‘s “Have A Cigar”.

The first set of the tour opener was highlighted by newer tunes “Spaga’s Last Stand” and “Shocked!”, as well as “Rainbow Song”, played for the third time since being revived earlier this year, and the pithy but rare “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a”. Set two began with a bang, as The Disco Biscuits welcomed Kanika Moore for their first time playing “Have a Cigar” since 2009. The band originally debuted its version of the psychedlic rock staple at the inaugural Jammy Awards at Irving Plaza in New York City on June 22nd, 2000.

The Disco Biscuits returned to Pink Floyd’s catalog at the end of the set, closing with a “Run Like Hell” > “Above The Waves” > “Run Like Hell” sandwich stretching 40 minutes in length before inclement weather cut the show off without an encore.
