The Doobie Brothers have shared a smooth new single, “Learn to Let Go”, from the band’s first new studio album in over 40 years, Walk This Road.
Arriving as the album’s fourth single following “Walk This Road” (featuring Mavis Staples), “Call Me”, and “Lahaina”, “Learn to Let Go” features a laid-back groove and reflective lyrics pondering the wisdom of knowing when to move on. The song was written by Michael McDonald and producer John Shanks and showcases all three principal vocalists—McDonald, Pat Simmons, and Tom Johnston.

“It’s a song about what might be the hardest lesson we learn and one of the last things we do in this life,” said McDonald.
