The Golden Road Gathering has revealed its 2023 lineup, which includes The California Honeydrops, Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew performing Talking Heads‘ Remain in Light with Cool Cool Cool, The Floozies, Dirtwire, and more. Organized by the founders of Hangtown Music Festival and Marco’s Cafe, the festival is set to take place at El Dorado County Fairgrounds in Placerville, CA on May 14th–16th.
“This is going to be one for the books,” said founder Ryan Kronenberg. “We are taking what we have learned over the last twelve years with Hangtown Music Festival and applying it to this new festival with a unique spin.”
Other performers on the Golden Road Gathering 2023 lineup include Orgone, March Fourth, Five Alarm Funk, Late Night Radio, Scott Pemberton O Theory, and more, with additional artists to be announced on February 1st. Cool Cool Cool will also perform a separate set in addition to the Talking Heads Remain in Light set with Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew.

The three-day camping festival will feature a number of regional and up-and-coming artists including Couch, Spunj, Boot Juice, Island of Black and White, Ten Foot Tiger, and Watkins Glen. The Gathering will also host local vendors, brewers, and food trucks as well as a special kids corner.
Ticket packages including weekend passes, single day tickets, and RV camping are now on sale now. VIP “Golden Ticket Experience” packages are also available and include expedited early check in, reserved parking and camping areas, main stage pit access, access to an onsite lounge with seating, picnic tables, stage views, and a private bathroom and bar, drink tickets, and an event t-shirt. All camping packages include access to indoor late-night sets featuring a curated selection of bands and electronic artists.
