Both Colorado’s The Magic Beans and Arizona’s Spafford have quickly ascended the ranks of the scene to stake their claim as two of the best rising jam bands touring today. Each brings their own unique, tightly crafted sound with fearless exploration to soaring heights night in and night out on the road. Today they have announced a special two night post-Phish NYE run around the corner from MSG at jam friendly American Beauty. A true Co-Bill, the two acts will switch off headlining nights with Spafford taking the honors on 12/30 and The Magic Beans playing last on NYE. Both bands will start AFTER Phish’s performance each night.

A fourpiece improvisational beast, Brian Moss (Guitar), Jordan Fairless (Bass), Red Johnson (Keys), and Nick Tkachyk (Drums) need to be heard to be understood. Building sonic explorations one piece at a time, Spafford takes their listeners on a ride that typically floats on a deep groove and finishes with a blistering peak. Having just recently completed their breakout tour which saw the band come East of Colorado for the first time, this will mark the bands debut performances in NYC. As a clear buzz surrounds the band, Spafford will look to continue their rise during this special 2 night run.

Listen: Spafford Cabin Cabin Jam 2 12/7/15 Secret Hideout – Colorado:

With a thoroughly established reputation in their home state of Colorado, including their own quickly growing Beanstalk Music Festival, The Magic Beans have been hitting the road hard for a couple of years now, making a name for themselves all over with their unique genre-blending sound and exciting shows. Scott Hachey (Guitars/Vocals), Chris Duffy (Bass/Vocals), Casey Russell (Keys/Vocals), and Jason Kincaid (Drums) creatively invoke hints of your favorite live acts while managing to come across with a sound that is distinctly their own. At the core, Beans’ shows are a dance party, with an emphasis on original songwriting and extended segments of improvisation.
