Surprise, The Motet fans! With their new album, Death or Devotion, set to drop at midnight, the Colorado funk crew has announced a last-minute free album release show tonight, Thursday, January 24th, at Cervantes’ Other Side in their hometown of Denver. As the band notes in their announcement,

You busy tonight? … Cervantes Other Side | 8pm doors, 9pm show | FREE SHOW First-come, first served! … We’re playing our new album Death or Devotion for you at Cervantes Other Side TONIGHT for free! Come get in line early, buy fee-free tickets to our July 12th Red Rocks show, get your hands on the new vinyl/CD’s before anyone else and most importantly, come celebrate the drop of our new album with us! 

Along with their announcement, the band shared a video clip of them getting the bright idea to play the new album at Cervantes’ tonight. Everyone seems to be down with the movement (except saxophonist Drew Sayers, who ignores Lyle Divinsky‘s call while practicing in the video). “Oh well, he’ll find out on Instagram,” Divinsky jokes.
