Veteran Colorado funk outfit The Motet will dust off their space cowboy hats and dig into the music of Jamiroquai for an after-midnight dance party at New Orleans, LA’s The Howlin’ Wolf on Thursday, April 30th (technically early a.m. May 1st). The performance corresponds with the second Thursday of the 2026 Jazz Fest season [get tickets].

The Motet’s ever-evolving lineup has plenty of experience channeling the English acid jazz and funk superstars, from their all-star tribute set at Brooklyn Comes Alive 2017 to their recent New Year’s Eve run of Jamiroquai tribute tour dates. During Jazz Fest, the band—composed of drummer Dave Watts, bassist Garrett Sayers, guitarist Ryan Jalbert, multi-instrumentalist Drew Sayers, and vocalist Sarah Clarke plus special guests trumpeter Nate Miller and keyboardist Swatkins—will put the canned heat in their DNA to work for this can’t-miss late-night.
