The Pixies will bring their show on the road this spring, as the band has revealed a string of tour dates throughout May (and one festival in June). The group was already announced to perform at Shaky Knees, Boston Calling and Big Guava Festivals, and the following dates fill out what will be an eventful month of touring for the indie rockers. With stops at the Beacon Theatre and the newly-renovated Kings Theatre, these should be great performances. They also promise more dates to come!
A statement announcing the tour reads: “All headline shows will feature a new and more varied set packed with songs from the entire Pixies catalogue, full of distortion howls and all the vivid dissonance a Pixies fan would expect – all performed on a sparse yet stunning stage.” Their website also promises the tour will “set the stage for the debut of some brand-new Pixies songs, written and arranged just in the past few months.”
Pre-sale tickets will be released on February 25th and 9 AM Eastern, and the general onsale is this Friday, February 27th. More information is available through the Pixies’ website.
