On Saturday, December 26th, 50+ artists and hundreds of thousands of viewers around the world came together for Georgia Comes Alive, a virtual music festival aimed at promoting voter participation in Georgia’s Senate runoff elections on January 5th, 2021, which saw a record-breaking voter turnout.
One of the many major rock headliners to take part in Georgia Comes Alive was The Revivalists who offered up an impassioned rendition of their song “When I’m With You”. Recorded live in-studio, this take on the Take Good Care track found the entire New Orleans-bred outfit coming out in full force with singer/guitarist David Shaw leading the pack.
Every instrument in the seven-piece ensemble can be felt as they come in one-by-one behind Shaw’s opening guitar strums coated with a thick membrane of overdrive. From the catchy rock radio opening rhythm all the way through the climactic crescendo, this performance showcases how The Revivalists simply can’t turn off their star power whether in front of a packed house or alone in the studio.
