The Revivalists remind us that these are the “Good Old Days” while looking back on the band’s growth in a new music video. The group also announced a run of tour dates in Europe set for this fall.

Featuring footage that spans the band’s illustrious career, from a 2007 sound check at Check Point Charlie’s Bar to their recent performance at Bonnaroo 2023, interspersed with home movies documenting the growth of the band and the members’ respective families, the video adds a personal dimension to the song’s reflective lyrics, which remind the listener to take in the “Good Old Days” while they’re still happening. The track is featured on the band’s new album, Pour It Out Into The Night.

“The message is, ‘I have to appreciate this. It might not last forever’,” said guitarist Zack Feinberg, who composed the song alongside vocalist David Shaw. “This song actually started in 2018. I was imbibing as one does on Mardi Gras. We were hanging with friends all day and probably walked the length of the city two times over. We went back to David’s house to unwind and ended up putting the basis for the tracks down on a demo. That melody stuck in my head when I went to bed. I was thinking about what an amazing day it was, and even though there’s always uncertainty about what the future has to bring, we just have to recognize and appreciate that these are the good old days. Now that I am a dad to twin babies, there are so many moments that are beautiful yet fleeting, and you can’t forget that. So it is a useful exercise in gratitude.”

Along with the video release, The Revivalists announced their return to Europe this October. The overseas trek begins in London on October 19th and includes stops in Paris (10/20), Amsterdam (10/23), Berlin (10/25), and Hamburg (10/27). Tickets for The Revivalists’ Europe tour will be available via various pre-sales beginning August 9th, followed by the general on-sale on August 11th at 10 a.m. local time.
