The String Cheese Incident will continue its yearlong 30th-anniversary celebration with the band’s 2024 return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre this summer.

The band will make its annual pilgrimage on July 12th, 13th, and 14th, culminating with a guest-filled bluegrass finale. Joining Cheese on Sunday night will be bluegrass luminaries Sam Bush and Jerry Douglas along with rising star Sierra Hull. The band noted in an announcement that this will mark its only Colorado shows of 2024.

Cheese has a rich history of staging special guest Incidents during its Red Rocks run, recruiting John Fogerty last year for the first-ever John Fogerty Incident. The band was due to collaborate with Phil Lesh in 2022, but the Grateful Dead bassist was forced to cancel due to COVID—with Cheese calling up ringer Billy Strings at the last second for a Dead-filled special set.

Tickets for the 2024 String Cheese Incident run at Red Rocks will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 2nd at 11 a.m. MT. For the first time ever, the band will partner with fan-to-fan resale service CashOrTrade for a pre-sale beginning Thursday, February 1st at 11 a.m. MT. An AXS pre-sale will also begin at that same time, no code required. There will be a limited amount of three-day passes in addition to single-day tickets. Fans can find full ticketing details on the band’s website.

The Red Rocks run adds to Cheese’s previously announced 2024 tour dates, including a run of May headlining shows and several high-profile festival appearances. The band’s ongoing 30th-anniversary celebration began last year with the release of  Lend Me A Hand, an introspective folk-inspired album that marked Cheese’s first full-length studio release in six years. The band then topped 2023 off with a three-set New Year’s Eve spectacle with each set devoted to one of the band’s three decades. Revisit Live For Live Music‘s coverage of the show here.
