The String Cheese Incident returned to Dillon Amphitheater in Dillon, CO last night for the second show of a two-night stand at the scenic venue. The picturesque lakeside performance concluded the first part of the band’s five-show Colorado run, which continues this weekend with three shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on Friday (7/15), Saturday (7/16), and Sunday (717).

After announcing on social media that doors would be delayed due to “a weather hold,” The String Cheese Incident took the stage at the Rocky Mountain venue and opened with a dynamic “Indian Creek”. They then slowed things down with “Little Hands”, picking the energy back up as they segued into a greasy “Eye Know Why” before traversing through “Suntan” to arrive at “The Joker”. “Song In My Head” followed, and the band wrapped set one with a pairing of “Just One Story” and the geographically relevant “Colorado Bluebird Sky”.

Set two began with the funky but all too pertinent “World Gone Crazy”, which gave way to the Michael Kang-led “Best Feeling”. Percussionist Jason Hann could be seen whispering directions into a microphone only the band could hear as they synchronously slowed the tempo and seamlessly transitioned into “Valley Of The Jig”. “Dragonfly” came next, followed by “Get Tight” and “‘Round The Wheel”, and the band wrapped the second set with “The Big Reveal”, working its way back to “Just One Story” before concluding. After an encore break, they released the crowd into the night with “Midnight Moonlight”.
