There’s always been more than meets the eye when it comes to The Transformers, but now there’s going to be more than meets the ear as well. For more than three decades Hasbro Studios has been thrilling kids of all ages with their tales of giant robots hiding among us fighting an epic battle of good and evil. The Transformers heroic leader Optimus Prime and the dastardly Megatron and his Decepticons have become worldwide icons to multiple generations of fans. Those stories have inspired multiple cartoons, comic books a billion dollar film franchise and now, an album!
A wide variety of artists such as Bush, Born Cages, Mew and more have all contributed original songs about or inspired by the giant mechs and their adventures. The album is available for pre-order starting today. Two songs, Mount Holly’s “Roll Out” and The Crash Kings’ “Gigantik” are already available to stream.
The full album will be available for digital purchase on April 15th, with the FYE music retail chain offering a special, exclusive CD and vinyl versions. Here’s the full track list:
