The tour kicks off March 6th at the Centers for the Arts in Bonita Springs, FL, followed by a March 7th stop in Jacksonville. From there, the run moves north to Greenville, SC on March 8th before continuing through the Northeast, with dates in New York (3/17, 3/20, 3/22), Massachusetts (3/18), Pennsylvania (3/19, 3/24), and Connecticut (3/21). Late-March and early-April stops include March 29th at The Caverns in Pelham, TN with Sister Sadie and an April 9 show at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN, before the tour rounds out with dates in Virginia (3/26, 3/27, 4/11) and North Carolina (4/10). The run will culminate with the McCourys’ annual DelFest celebration in Cumberland, MD, May 21st–24th.

One of the first confirmed “Young Guns” on the tour is Heaven McCoury, son of mandolinist Ronnie McCoury, who has already become a familiar presence alongside the Del McCoury Band and the Travelin’ McCourys. Sister Sadie will also join the band at The Caverns on March 29th. Additional young musicians will join throughout the run, with guest appearances varying by market.

Tickets for many of the Travelin’ McCourys’ Young Guns Tour dates are already on sale, while others are available beginning Friday, January 16th. Visit the band’s website for complete ticketing details.

Rooted in the McCoury family’s long-standing commitment to mentorship and tradition, the tour is designed to introduce rising young pickers to wider audiences, following the same spirit that has defined DelFest and the band’s onstage collaborations for decades. The concept mirrors what longtime fans have come to expect from the McCoury camp: sharing the stage with exceptional young talent and giving them space to shine in front of devoted bluegrass crowds.

“My dad showed us what it really means to pass the torch, by trusting the next generation and giving them room on the bandstand,” the band shared in a statement. “The Young Guns Tour comes straight out of that spirit, and out of DelFest, where the music goes beyond simply being shared. It’s well-respected and it’s handed down. It’s about making sure bluegrass keeps moving forward the right way.”

The McCourys’ history of introducing audiences to future stars is well documented, with past McCoury-curated stages and collaborations helping launch or amplify the careers of Billy Strings, Greensky Bluegrass, Sierra Hull, and Daniel Donato. The Young Guns Tour continues that lineage, pairing master musicianship with discovery and generational exchange.

In keeping with the tour’s community-driven spirit, the band is also inviting promoters and local scenes to recommend standout young players for select dates.
