After a three-year hiatus, Winter Werk Out will return to The Bluestone in Columbus, OH on February 17th and 18th, 2023. The Werks will take their place as hosts, performing both nights in addition to sets from Opiuo, Daily Bread, Marvel Years, and more.
Also joining the 2023 return of Winter Werk Out are Defunk, Columbus’ own BareFuzz, and Dizgo. These acts will spread out over two nights at the ornate Bluestone, a former 19th-century Baptist church transformed into one of the Ohio state capital’s premium indoor venues.

February will mark the first Winter Werk Out since 2020 and the fifth overall. The last celebration, coming in just under the wire of the COVID pandemic on February 7th and 8th, was a joyous occasion as the Dayton, OH quartet had just come off a self-imposed six-month hiatus. The band has cause to celebrate in 2023 as well, as this will mark the first Winter Werk Out with original bassist Chuckie Love, who rejoined the band in 2021 after a decade-long absence.
This announcement comes in the midst of a flurry of activity for The Werks, who earlier this year reignited the long-dormant Werk Out West. The two-night excursion to Denver’s Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom brought together Gangstagrass, Eggy, Dizgo, and more in addition to a superjam featuring Denver locals from SunSquabi and Break Science. Next March, the band will also expand its reach to Detroit for the inaugural Motor City Werk Out with support from ekoostik hookah and Hyryder. For tickets visit The Werks’ website.
