Pete Townshend, legendary guitarist for The Who, doesn’t seem too fazed by his fast-approaching 70th birthday. The creative force behind The Who’s most pivotal works has just released his first new track since 2006, a politically charged rousing number called “Guantanamo.”

“Guantanamo” is one of two new originals to be featured on Truancy: The Very Best of Pete Townshend. The full album features cuts from Townshend’s extensive solo discography, with alternate versions of tracks originally performed by The Who themselves. Truancy is due out June 30th.
