The Wood Brothers stop and smell the roses in a new music video for “Pilgrim”, from the band’s new album, Heart Is The Hero.

Released two weeks after the album, the video, produced and directed by Dani Barbieri with Two Truths Productions, showcases the trio in its natural habitat, making beautiful, heartfelt music together on stage at State Theatre of Ithaca in Ithaca, NY. Film-stylized of the band sound checking in an empty theater and then performing for a packed house offer a complementary backdrop for the video and song, which compare living life on the road to being a kind of spiritual pilgrim.

The lyrics to the track express the importance of taking time to slow down and appreciate life’s journey, rather than focusing solely on the destination, with poetic lines like, “A soul’s gotta walk / Like a pilgrim he stops / To smell every flower on the path / I better slow down / ‘Cause a soul can’t / Travel that fast.”
