A brand-new two-day festival, THING, is set to take place on August 24th and 25th at the historic Fort Worden in Port Townsend, WA.

On Monday, THING festival unveiled their inaugural 2019 lineup with performances by De La Soul, Violent Femmes, Jeff Tweedy, Khruangbin, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Café Tacvba, Calexico and Iron & Wine, Tank and the Bangas, Parquet Courts, Phosphorescent, Japanese Breakfast, Napoleon Dynamite Live! and many more.

In addition to the festival’s impressive musical lineup, THING will host a plethora of comedians, food, podcasters, visual artists, dance troupes and more. THING will feature three primary stages including a decommissioned zeppelin hangar (McCurdy Pavilion), the charming and intimate art-deco Wheeler Theatre, and the Parade Grounds overlooking Puget Sound. Festival organizer Adam Zacks of the Seattle Theatre Group is a key part of the new event, who founded and produced Sasquatch! Music Festival over the last 17 years. Last year, Zacks announced that he would no longer produce the long-running event held at George, WA’s picturesque Gorge Amphitheatre.

Tickets for THING’s 2019 event go on sale this Friday, April 26th at 9 a.m. (PST) here.
