Move over, Tiny Desk—a new series called the Tiny House Concert Series just launched, offering intimate, stripped-down performances from top jam, Americana, and folk artists. Among the first performers featured in the series are Charley Crockett, The Wood Brothers, and ALO. They’ve also been teasing upcoming sessions from Goose, Daniel Donato, John Butler, Big Something, Shadowgrass, and more.

Recorded live in Downtown Wilmington, NC at Ted’s, a historic house turned private listening room, the series spotlights artists who are used to playing bigger venues but who “don’t need lasers and smoke to stop time—just a mic, a moment, and a space that listens back.”

The series recently kicked off with ALO performing “Blank Canvas”, a standout from the band’s new album, Frames. Soon after, Charley Crockett stopped by between his shows at the nearby Greenfield Lake Amphitheater and played a solo acoustic version of Woody Guthrie‘s “Dead or Alive”. The series continued from there with The Wood Brothers performing their blackout anthem “Loaded” around a single mic, with drummer/keyboardist Jano Rix playing his signature makeshift “shuitar.”

Several other big-name acts can be spotted in promo videos for the series, but the one getting the most buzz is Connecticut indie groove quartet Goose, who visited the studio before playing a sold-out show at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. Producers tracked down the biggest Goose fan they could find and invited him to be the only member of the audience—and as if that wasn’t already cool enough, the private show happened to be on his birthday.
