Railroad Earth frontman Todd Sheaffer returned to the Garden State over the weekend for an intimate Todd Sheaffer & Friends show at The Homestead in Morristown on Sunday, April 2nd.

Having made it through April Fools day on Saturday, the NJ-native hobo bard arrived at The Homestead on Sunday ready to get down to business with a different band than he brought to venue in November. The lineup was comprised of Friends from the various projects Sheaffer has led throughout his career, including Railroad Earth’s new bassist Dave Speranza, Dan Myers from Sheaffer’s first touring band, From Good Homes, on sax and melodica, drummer Ned Stroh, and multi-instrumentalist Mike Robinson (guitar/banjo/pedal steel). As in November, the band was once again joined by special guest Stevo Nelson, who sat in on washboard.

Sheaffer and his Friends played a mix of songs from his extensive catalog, including tunes from Railroad Earth, From Good Homes, and his solo discography.
