Announced earlier this week, Morello’s intensive four-day guitar seminar will take place in Newport Beach, CA on January 2nd-6th, 2020. In addition to being hosted by the Rage Against The Machine/Prophets of Rage guitarist himself, the camp will also feature workshops and seminars from guest teachers/professionals including Nuno Bettencourt (Boston), John 5 (Rob Zombie), Wayne Kramer (MC5), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Bibi McGill (Beyoncé), and Billy Howerdel (A Perfect Circle).

The camp is open to guitarists of all levels and age groups, as Morello aims to provide an overall experience and non-competitive learning environment where players can completely immerse themselves with the joys of music alongside like-minded musicians.

“Tom Morello’s Guitar Revolution will be about a lot of things,” Morello shared in a statement to go with the announcement. “Ferocious rock and roll guitar playing, power riff songwriting, inventive soloing, subversive sonics (and activism), and unlocking maximum creativity throughout four action-packed days of discussion, demonstration, and performance.”

Morello continued in explaining, “We’ll be exploring, in great detail and depth, what it means to be a guitar player at every level, from firing the imagination of absolute beginners and making every moment fun and productive; to working with intermediate players, unlocking their potential and exceeding their goals; to helping advanced players find their own voice on the instrument and taking their playing and career to the next level. Whether you want to be in a backyard cover band, or you aim to become a side musician for a superstar, whether you’re an aspiring songwriter, shredder or session musician, or you dream of filling stadiums one day, I have experienced ALL of those levels and we will be getting deep into it all (while shredding my ass off) to help you be the best guitar player you can be.”

It’s also worth noting that with each of the first 100 people to register, Fender will join Morello me in donating a guitar in his/her name to support music education initiatives in California schools, in addition to Wayne Kramer’s Jail Guitar Doors prison rehabilitation programs.
