Phish guitarist/vocalist Trey Anastasio has announced that he will be releasing an album with his solo band, The Trey Anastasio Band, later this year. Roughly two months ago, the esteemed musician posted some pictures of the band recording at The Barn, a studio rich with Phish history, in Vermont.
To kickoff their spring tour, TAB busted out two new originals “The Song” and “Flying Machine.” “The Song” was written by Trey Anastasio with longtime lyrical collaborator, Steve “The Dude of Life” Pollak. Meanwhile “Flying Machine” was originally performed as “Pulsing Days,” but the tune has since been reworked.
The band also played two originals bound for the album, “Bounce” and “Sometime After Sunset,” which made their live debuts earlier in the tour.
