Trey Anastasio Band Plays “Ooh Child” on Jimmy Fallon in Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy

Instead of plugging a new song from his new solo album Traveler on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night, Trey Anastasio Band decided to play a soothing  cover of Five Stairsteps’ “Ooh Child”, reminding us things are going to get easier during these difficult  times for New Yorkers.  Check out the video below:

Hurricane Sandy flooded much of New York City and many areas of New Jersey, pushing areas of the Garden State into the Atlantic Ocean.  Many areas were out of power in the aftermath of the storm, and has taken over 50 lives.

Getting around New York City was described as a “nightmare” and cars coming into the city over certain bridges must have a minimum of three people inside, and fourteen of the twenty three lines on the subway should be up and running tomorrow.  It’s unknown when power will be back in parts of New York City.
