Trey Anastasio Band will get to California a few days ahead of its scheduled slot at Dead & Company‘s 60th anniversary celebration of the Grateful Dead in Golden Gate Park for a one-off headlining show at The Bellwether in Los Angeles on Friday, August 1st [get tickets].

The Los Angeles gig will mark the first performance by the Phish guitarist’s full, eight-piece solo ensemble—including percussionist Cyro Baptista, bassist Dezron Douglas, trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick, trombonist/vocalist Natalie Cressman, drummer Russ Lawton, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski, and saxophonist Kenneth Whalum—in nearly a year. In the interim, Anastasio has focused his solo efforts on a lengthy acoustic tour while continuing to travel the country selling out arenas with Phish.

Tickets for Trey Anastasio Band at The Bellwether in Los Angeles on Friday, August 1st will be available via a real-time pre-sale beginning on Wednesday, July 9th at 10:00 a.m. PT. The only other scheduled date on the Trey Anastasio Band calendar is the group’s supporting slot on the final night of Dead & Company’s Grateful Dead 60th anniversary celebration at San Francisco, CA’s Golden Gate Park on Sunday, August 3rd.
