Trey Anastasio to Release New Track, ‘Scabbard’, August 21st

We’re getting closer to hearing some new Phish related material. The band’s front man Trey Anastasio’s new album cannot be far off, as he plans to release a new solo track, entitled ‘Scabbard’, on August 21st. A brief snippet of the song, as we’ll as the single’s album art, is available through Amazon.com.

Phish kicks off the second leg of their summer tour August 15th in Long Beach, and it would not be uncommon for an Anastasio solo song to pop into the rotation. You can hear the brief snippet yourself, here.
