The good news keeps on coming for A Tribe Called Quest fans. Last week, the band graced the world with their first new album in 18 years, the incredible farewell record We Got It From Here… Thank You 4 Your Service. The seminal hip-hop group then turned in a triumphant two-song performance on Saturday Night Live, which was hosted by fellow comeback artist Dave Chappelle. The group also held a listening party at Moma PS1, and will take part in a live discussion this weekend at New York’s Webster Hall.

With A Tribe Called Quest returning to say farewell, it only feels appropriate for them to go on tour and play to their dedicated fanbase one last time. Even after the passing of co-founding member Phife Dawg, the energy and passion exhibited during the SNL performance was remarkable, showing artists who simply were not done with music. Fueling the discussion even further, the group signed with Creative Artists Agency (aka CAA) last week. With that in mind, group frontman Q-Tip has officially revealed that plans to tour are in fact in the works. Q-Tip gave an interview to Billboard, stating “This is our last record, and we’ll probably do a world tour. After that, that’s it, for the rest of our lives.”

This is extremely exciting news. We’ll bring you more information on a future A Tribe Called Quest tour as it becomes available. In the meantime, check out a teaser clip of the new music video for We Got It From Here‘s lead single, “We The People”:
