Trucks and Burbridge Add More Talent to 2016 Roots Rock Revival

Music Masters Camps’ fourth annual Roots Rock Revival will take place from August 8-12 at Full Moon Resort in the heart of the “Forever Wild” Catskill Forest Preserve in upstate New York. Presented by Allman Brothers’ Butch Trucks & Oteil Burbridge and North Mississippi Allstars brothers Luther Dickinson & Cody Dickinson, this 4-day adventure into the world of southern rock, all things Allman Brothers Band, and beyond, is an experience not to be missed. Whether you’re a campfire player, a full-time musician, or a passionate music fan, this experience offers the opportunity to dive deep into the world of your favorite musical artists. 

In addition to Berry Duane Oakley Jr. slapping the bass, Bruce Katz tickling the ivories, and Vaylor Trucks slaying guitar, the 2016 roster includes some extremely special guests: Col. Bruce Hampton (living legend, ARU), Roosevelt Collier (sacred steel, The Lee Boys), Sister Sparrow (voice of angel, heart of gold), and Dirty Bird Jackson Kincheloe (harmonica, bonafide badass). With these new additions, this year is sure to be the best yet.

Roots Rock Revival features master classes, jam sessions, Q&A meetings, open rehearsals and so much more. It’s more than just a camp, it’s an event…An occasion, a happening, that lasts far beyond the few days spent together on site — it is a revival. Studious by day, relaxing (or raging) by night, there is something for everyone.
