When the funk army Turkuaz rolls into town, you best be ready to shake it! The nine-piece group always brings the noise, and their newly-announced Jazz Fest late night set certainly takes the cake! On Tuesday, April 26th, Turkuaz will play a full set tribute to the legendary musicians of The Band, busting out classics like “The Shape I’m In,” “Cripple Creek” and many, many more. Tickets here.

It all goes down at the Howlin’ Wolf, as part of a major tribute night that the venue has in store. The festivities start with an Amy Winehouse tribute, featuring members of Trey Anastasio Band, Snarky Puppy, The Bridge and more, led by elite vocalist Elise Testone. You can find info about that first show here.

Then, it’s time for Turkuaz to lay down some funky covers of The Band. They’re known for a potent rendition of “The Shape I’m In,” which you can groove on below:

Finally, Jazz Is Phish will come in and close things out with a jazz-influenced tribute to the music of Phish. Featuring members of the Giant Country Horns, Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten Band, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band and Strange Design, this party will have you raging all night long!
